  School of Management and Economics (SME) has made extensive international cooperation these years, holding international academic conferences, carrying out scientific researches, and exchanging students and faculty members.

SME has been constantly seeking broader and deeper international cooperation. In recent years, the school invited many oversea scholars to give speeches and to engage in teaching or research projects. In addition, many faculty members conduct joint academic research with international universities. By far, the school has established close relationships with such universities as Georgia Institute of Technology, Illinois Institute of Technology, Technical University of Berlin, University of Reading, Nagoya University, and Asian Institute of Technology, etc.

It is inspiring that the school has successfully host many international conferences, such as the Forth International Conference on Quality and Reliability, International Conference on E-commerce, Asian-European Culture Revolution and Economic Development Symposium, 2008 International Conference on Risk and Reliability Management. Many famous specialists have attended these conferences. Further, papers in the conferences have been accepted by many international academic journals and cited by SCI and EI. Fortunately, these conferences have got strong supports from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Fok Ying Tung Education Fund, and Beijing Association for Science andTechnology.

BIT cooperates with Lufthansa Technik to set up student internship base. Every year, outstanding students will be selected to visit Germany for half a year. During the internship, the student will participate in daily management in order to combine theories with practices and such activities have greatly improved their abilities.
